4th through 6th Grade

All classes at the Lyman School benefit from low student-to-teacher ratios and individualized learning plans.

Our 4th through 6th grade students learn through engaging, interest-based instruction that meets them where they are developmentally. At this level, we focus on hands-on activities, collaborative group projects, and critical thinking exercises that build confidence and skills. This approach enables each student to develop the independence and self-direction they will need as they continue their educational journey.

All classes at the Lyman School benefit from low student-to-teacher ratios and individualized learning plans. This intentional design ensures that every child is known, seen, and supported as a unique learner rather than one of many. With smaller class sizes, our teachers have the time and capacity to truly understand how each student thinks, learns, and grows.

Individualized learning plans are at the heart of the Lyman experience. Developed in partnership with families and updated regularly, these dynamic roadmaps honor each student’s strengths, address areas for growth, and align with their personal interests and long-term goals. Whether a child needs enrichment in mathematics, additional support in literacy, or the freedom to explore advanced topics at an accelerated pace, the plan flexes with them.
