Our School

Charitable Educational Organization

The Lyman School is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) charitable educational organization founded on the principle that not all children learn the same. We strive for academic excellence while ensuring that children develop the habits, skills, and love of learning necessary to become responsible citizens of the community and later, the world.

Our Three Pillars

Our Purpose

To guide and educate young students who experience life differently. The Lyman School provides a safe foundation for self-discovery and self-acceptance, empowering students to find their motivation and achieve success. Through personalized guidance and a nurturing approach, we help each child build the confidence and skills needed to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally — both now and throughout their lives.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create a truly alternative learning environment designed for students who flourish when education is personalized, flexible, and student-centered. We believe every learner has a unique path, and we are committed to providing an adaptive, supportive, and inspiring educational experience that honors individual strengths, learning styles, interests, and goals—empowering each student to grow academically, creatively, and personally at their own pace.

Our Vision

To nurture the whole child — mind, body, heart, and spirit — within a peaceful, safe, and joyful learning environment, inspiring every student to grow their unique abilities, discover their deepest potential, and emerge as confident, compassionate, and contributing members of their communities and the wider world.
