Faculty
The Lyman School faculty are passionately committed to serving each student’s individual learning needs. Our teachers make learning engaging and accessible! They create a supportive environment where students can explore their strengths, and above all, every child is treated with dignity and respect. Our educators hold degrees and specialized certifications, ensuring your child receives the personalized attention and expertise they need to thrive.
Passionately Committed
At The Lyman School, teaching is far more than delivering curriculum—it is about seeing the whole child. Our faculty members are skilled at recognizing each student’s unique temperament, learning style, and strengths. They design lessons that meet students where they are, whether a child thrives with hands-on exploration, needs more time to process information, benefits from multi-sensory approaches, or flourishes when given creative choice. Every day our teachers build genuine relationships that help students feel secure, valued, and capable.
Recognizing
Each Student
Our educators bring both heart and professional expertise to the classroom. Many hold advanced degrees and specialized training in areas that support students who learn differently, including strategies for dyslexia, ADHD, executive function, and other learning differences. They continuously refine their practice through ongoing professional development so they can offer the most effective, research-informed approaches alongside the proven methods developed by our founder, Dr. Donald E. Lyman.
